I am so excited! As you may know from my Twitter, October 16-22 is 2016 Invisible Disability Week! Although there are so many people preaching that "no one has it harder than anyone else" and all that stuff, but my personal opinion is that people with invisible disabilities have it waaaaay harder than those with visible disabilities. Do people with visible disabilities get hassled when they can't run around or need special accommodations? No! But do people with invisible disabilities regularly get told they "aren't disabled" or are "faking it"? You better believe it! That's why Invisible Disability Week is so important! This is where you all come in! Wear white (it's the invisible disability awareness color) and tweet with #InvisibleDisabilityWeek. Spread the word! And if you're a student, parent, or teacher, get your school involved! Put up posters and encourage students to wear white! Convince your school to recognize Invisible Disability Week! Every person counts. We need recognition, and if enough people wear support Invisible Disability Week, that's what we'll get!
